Honouring the Spirit with Peace

This workshop is for those who are interested in knowing how to care for their energy in challenging situations as a student and at home. The unique challenges of Indigenous students may include disturbing course content that unsettles or triggers current or past hurts, lack of understanding from teachers and classmates, racism, discrimination, injustice, lateral violence, as well as student/life balance in general.

The workshop is delivered with an Indigenous worldview along with eastern philosophy. You will be shown breaths and techniques that help to calm, balance, and ground you when feeling anxious, overwhelmed or triggered. You will learn a PEACE breath that helps you to bring a peaceful energy to your mind, body, spirit even when practiced for a short time.
