Mindfulness for Wellness
Do you feel caught in depressive thoughts or anxiety? This group combines effective cognitive therapy principles with meditative practices, based on the cultivation of mindfulness, aiming to prevent relapses of depression.
Eight week program facilitated by VIU Counsellors Darcy Minick and Noelle Hanuse
Tuesdays from 12:00 – 1:30
Begins October 8, 2019
Ability to attend regularly and complete a modest amount of homework (i.e., 20-30 min/day) is required to help you integrate these changes into your life.
To join: Speak to a counsellor, doctor or Nurse Practitioner at VIU’s Health and Wellness clinic if this group interests you. You must be referred through the Health and Wellness centre to attend.
