Hello! My name is Justin Sawyer (they/them) and I am a clinical counselling intern with VIU. I am presently completing the Master of Counselling program with Athabasca University. Working in harm reduction and social services for the last eight years has led me to deeply value connecting with others from a collaborative, non-judgemental, and respectful place. My approach is person-centered and strengths based. I believe that everyone has strengths, resiliencies, and internal resources that are invaluable in creating beneficial change and wellness. I strive to provide a trusting and supportive space, where people feel heard and understood.
