A growing campus
VIU's Nanaimo campus is expanding with a new student residence, scheduled to open in Fall 2027. The building will offer modern accommodations, shared gathering spaces and convenient access to campus facilities.

Our summer accommodations offer a variety of room configurations, from private single rooms to shared suites and townhouses, making them suitable for individuals, sports teams, conference delegates and larger groups.
Single rooms
Practical, private accommodation with access to shared facilities.

Two-bedroom suites
A convenient option for guests travelling together who prefer a more private setting.
- Two-bedroom accommodation with private bathroom facilities.

Apartment-style quads
Self-contained apartment-style accommodation with shared living spaces.
- Four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a shared lounge with Smart TV.
- Equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher and other essentials.
Townhouses
Group-friendly accommodations with shared common areas and kitchen facilities.
- Buildings containing 20 bedrooms, with single and double occupancy configurations and shared bathrooms.
- Spacious communal kitchens and lounges with Smart TVs.
What's included
All summer accommodations include linens and towels, complimentary shampoo, coffee and tea, free guest parking and wireless internet access.
Additional amenities include access to on-site laundry facilities and outdoor recreational spaces.
Please note: Summer accommodations are generally available from mid-May to mid-August. Existing housing buildings do not have elevators or air conditioning. Please contact our team to discuss your group's specific accommodation or accessibility requirements.
