Guard.me Campus Ambassadors supported international students to navigate the British Columbia health care system to access basic health care and make reimbursement claims from the Insurance carrier, Guard.me.

Position Overview

Guard.me Campus Ambassadors support international students to navigate the British Columbia health care system to access basic health care and make reimbursement claims from the Insurance carrier, Guard.me.

Each volunteer will receive four hours of training provided by the Guard.me Campus Ambassador Coordinator -- provided by the Insurance company. Following training, the volunteer will provide between 20 and 30 hours of service via information booths, orientation sessions, and special events. Each volunteer must provide a minimum of 22 volunteer hours per semester. Volunteers qualify for an annual all expenses paid trip to Ontario for leadership training in the summer following their volunteer term.

  • Must complete four hours of training
