The aim was to teach students how to increase their awareness of how their cultural influences can affect intercultural interactions, how to think differently about their own as well as others’ experiences, and to help them understand the impacts of colonialism on Indigenous cultures in Canada.

The aim is to teach students how to increase their awareness of how their cultural influences can affect intercultural interactions, how to think differently about their own as well as others' experiences, and to help them understand the impacts of colonialism on Indigenous cultures in Canada.

Position Requirements

Completion of the Effective Intercultural Communication Course. This is an online course run by the Centre for Intercultural Studies. The course runs over an 8 week period and is self-paced, but has weekly deadlines for small assignments and discussion posts. The course will take a minimum of 24 hours to complete.
