Description
The Mathematics Coach supports adults learning Math 12. The Coach works with both the instructor and students, helping students understand learning materials in a meaningful way.
Position Requirements
The Coach must listen carefully to determine a student's specific learning challenge, and work with the instructor to devise a corresponding learning strategy. The Coach will look for new ways to think about math, deepening and strengthening their own mathematical understanding. This enhanced understanding will be shared with the math learners. The Coach will demonstrate patience, good listening skills and an encouraging attitude.

This is a Work-Op position. More details can be found when available on CareerVIU Work-Integrated Learning. Applicants must have a minimum of an 'A' grade in Math 067 (Math 12). Preference will be given to students who have overcome obstacles to return to school as an adult.
