Description
This position reports directly to the Department Co-Chair, Dr. David Livingstone. The Liberal Studies Marketing and Support position assists the Department in updating its marketing and recruitment materials, both online and in print, and updating the Compass Rose: Explorations in Thought undergraduate journal. In addition, this student helps to plan and to coordinate a number of other exciting projects intended to raise the campus profile of Liberal Studies.
Position Requirements
The position demands a detail-oriented person with excellent time management skills who can work independently with minimal supervision, who has demonstrated good writing and research skills.
Desired attributes:
- BA or BBA student available to work on the Nanaimo campus, or virtually (online)
- Experience with WordPress or similar internet software is an asset
- Good writing, research, and communication skills are important
- The ability to complete tasks on time
- Knowledge of the Liberal Studies curriculum and pedagogy is desirable
- Background or experience in marketing and/or graphic design and/or web-design will also be considered an asset
