Position Overview

As a Committee Member for Fun@VIU, the individual is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of events aimed at engaging the Vancouver Island University community. This role involves creating and organizing activities that encourage interaction and camaraderie among students from different faculties, thereby enhancing the overall student life experience on campus. The position requires strong teamwork, as members must collaborate effectively with others on the committee. Leadership skills are also critical, as the role may involve guiding peers and making decisions that affect event outcomes. Additionally, the committee member will develop and refine event management skills through the hands-on experience of bringing events from the conceptual stage to fruition, ensuring they are enjoyable and well-received by the student body. The role is dynamic and demands creativity, organization, and a commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive campus atmosphere.
