Description
The Lead Student Ambassador will communicate, train and lead the student ambassadors in the organization of campus tours and the implementation of recruitment based strategies to connect future students with VIU and the programs offered across campus.
Position Requirements
The Lead Student Ambassador duties may include:
- Positively represent the Office of Future Students and VIU’s student body
- Act as a mentor and ambassador for VIU when working with with prospective students
- Use social media to engage current Student Ambassadors
- Work with representatives from the VIU campus community
- Attend and support Student Ambassador meetings
- Organize social/engagement events for Student Ambassadors
- Assist Student Engagement Champion with Student Ambassador recruitment strategies
- Assist the Office of Future Students and Student Engagement Champion in scheduling and preparing volunteers for a variety of events and campus tours
- Conduct Campus Tour training sessions and encourage current students to become Campus Tour Guides
- Assist with light office duties using MS Office programs such as typing, emails, or large mail outs
