Student Activity Project Leaders create events to engage VIU students and encourage participation. Leaders connect with their peers in outside-of-classroom activities to promote community events such as Canada Day, the Silly Boat event and Bathtub Races.

Position Requirements

Student Activity Project Leaders are skillful, resourceful students who support and engage their peers in outside of classroom activities to promote the VIU Graduate Attributes. Student Activity Project Leaders must show exceptional, communication, organization, and leadership skills.

This position requires that Leaders:

  • Attend weekly meetings
  • Coordinate monthly engagement events
  • Have the ability or learn to use social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pintrest
