The Workshop Planner serves an integral role in the development, organization, planning and execution of a Student Leadership Circle (SLC) event for the SLC members at VIU. The SLC Workshop Planner develops and executes events in line with the vision of SLC and VIU's Graduate Attributes.
Position Requirements
The Student Leadership Circle is a project of the Office of Co-Curricular Engagement and Learning. SLC is dedicated to leadership development and the cultivation of collaboration and unification between student leaders on campus.
The SLC Workshop Planner works under the SLC Chairperson and Vice-Chair. The SLC Workshop Planner shares ideas, concerns, and plans with the SLC committee. They are responsible for the overall organizing and execution of the event. The Chairperson, Vice-Chair, and Outreach Coordinator are all responsible for helping the Event Planner execute and organize the event effectively.
The SLC Workshop Planner is responsible for organizing the upcoming virtual events: SLC Winter Appreciation (1st Semester) and the Year End Celebration (2nd semester).
The SLC Workshop Planner plays an important role in fostering event environments that allows for professionalism, collaboration, leadership development and most importantly fun for the SLC members.
