Description
This position assists the Media Studies Department Chair with a range of activities. These activities include helping with department events, website updates, and research assistance.
Position Requirements
The Media Assistants for the Media Studies department will assist the Department Chair with a range of activities during the coming academic year.
Duties will include:
- Assistance with the development and execution of department events such as the Media Studies' year-end student showcase,"Media Expo."
- Assistance with the departmental website and promotional film showcasing the department will be part of duties.
- Supporting implementation of an oral history project and digital storytelling centre at VIU.
Students will be required to function in a range of media production and event environments and to learn and work with a range of digital media equipment and software.
