Position Overview

The Engagement Coordinator for the Virtual International Leadership Conference (VILC) plays a crucial role in ensuring that attendees are actively involved and have a memorable experience. This position involves the creation and coordination of various activities such as thematic excursions, challenges, and projects that align with the conference's goals and themes. The coordinator is expected to liaise with different organizations to facilitate these activities, requiring strong communication and project management skills. The role demands a proactive approach to engage participants, encourage networking, and foster a collaborative environment. The coordinator must be adept at working in a virtual setting and be capable of using digital tools to enhance the engagement of attendees. Overall, the Engagement Coordinator is responsible for making the VILC an interactive and enriching event for all participants.

Position Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning and coordination,
  • Strong organizational and project management skills,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite),
  • Ability to design and implement engaging activities and challenges,
  • Experience liaising with external organizations and vendors,
  • Knowledge of best practices in attendee engagement strategies,

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment,
  • Experience with budget management for events or projects,
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies,
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
  • Understanding of the thematic area of the conference (if applicable),
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
