The CREATE Volunteer Team Members helped to facilitate communications and logistics, and ensured the overall coordination of the conference.

Position Overview

CREATE Volunteer Team members help to facilitate communications, logistics, and ensure the overall coordination of the conference.

Volunteer Team members work under the leadership of the CREATE Student Team and the CREATE Event Coordinator. Hours will fluctuate depending on timelines. Volunteer Team members will provide their availability, interests and skills. It will be predominantly a team-based environment, with some independent work. Hours will mostly fall between Monday to Friday during regular working hours during the Fall and Spring semesters.
CREATE is regularly scheduled for the last week of classes in the Spring semester and there will be volunteer requirements during this time. Team members should demonstrate an enthusiasm for campus activities, learning/research engagement, and helping others.

Volunteer Team Members will have a varied selection of tasks to engage in. Hone your strengths and work on new skills!

Roles in the Fall semester will be predominantly based on communications. The Spring semester will build momentum until the conference in April. During the conference, we will need many hands on deck in an assortment of positions – logistics, information, technical, and leadership.

Duties may include communications (posters, write-ups, social media, on campus info sessions), logistics (set up, tear down, runners), info guides (helping participants and attendees with where to go and what to do), and technical (setting up computers/loading slides)
