The VI Solutions initiative endeavours to match organizations with students to explore an operational or business opportunity or challenge.
It aims to respond to the existing labour gap across Vancouver Island, as identified in the 2018 Labour Roundtable Discussions facilitated by VIU’s Centre for Experiential Learning and in collaboration with the Great Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, Vancouver Island Economic Alliance (VIEA) and other community partners. Additionally, raising awareness of the VIU student talent pool and generating work-integrated learning and career development experiences is a key outcome.
