Overview

The position of Block Party Leader at RockVIU involves taking charge of organizing and executing campus block parties. The role requires the individual to coordinate various event aspects, manage teams of volunteers or staff, and communicate effectively with vendors to ensure the necessary supplies and services are provided. The Block Party Leader is expected to demonstrate and further develop strong leadership qualities, showcase excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks and details, and maintain clear and effective communication with all parties involved. This role is pivotal in creating a vibrant and engaging campus environment, and the leader must be adept at problem-solving and decision-making to ensure the success of each event.

Requirements

  • Proven event planning experience,
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple vendors and stakeholders,
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management for events,
  • Understanding of permit and licensing requirements for public events,
