Health and Wellness Programs Assistant

Description

Residence Life is the comprehensive program that surrounds living on campus. The Program Leaders enhance the residents' experience by hosting events and delivering services that build residents' engagement with their peers, develop resiliency, and enrich their co-curricular experience.

Position Requirements

As the Health and Wellness Programs Assistant, this Work-Op student is expected to:

  1. Plan and execute a CommuniTree Connections event (Thursdays at 7 pm) at least once per month
  2. Plan and execute a minimum of one additional activity each month, providing an educational program or service
  3. Plan and execute a Residence Life activity during Thrive Week in October
  4. Collaborate with campus partners to promote options for healthy living, such as:
  • Culinary Department
  • VIU Student Union (VIUSU)
  • Campus Recreation
  • Student Affairs
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (BSN) students (Practical Substance Advice program and Naloxone Training)
  • Psychology Club
