This guide is designed to walk you through the process of requesting a new Co-Curricular Record (CCR) position. Please watch the following video for a detailed overview or view the step by step process below. Some additional tips before you get started:
- Ensure that the opportunity you're proposing aligns with the learning outcomes and values of the Co-Curricular Record program.
- Be as detailed as possible in your description to facilitate a smooth approval process.

Begin by navigating to the Co-Curricular Record website.
Click on the right-hand side menu.

Click on the sidebar link to request a new CCR Position. Please note you may have to log in using your faculty/staff credentials to access this page. You can also use the following link to access the form: https://services.viu.ca/co-curricular-record/form/request-new-ccr-position

Select the department that the position falls under and type in the name of the position. Enter the position description in the past tense and under 200 characters. This description will appear on the students' Official Co-Curricular Transcript.

Enter a position overview, outlining all the responsibilities and expectations of this role. Enter the position requirements in bullet-points. Select a minimum of one and a maximum of 6 of VIU's Graduate Attributes associated with this position.

Select whether this is a paid or volunteer position. Please enter your name, position and email. This will be used as supervisor contact information. The supervisor's phone number and addition comments are not mandatory. Please use additional comments for any additional information or requests. for eg. "This position is active throughout the year, including summers".

After reviewing the information you've entered, submit the form for approval using the button at the bottom of the page.
Following submission, your request will be reviewed by the CCR team! Wait for a notification regarding the approval status of your request.
