Position Overview

The Senior Student Team Lead and Research Assistant  will develop and deliver workshops for peers. They will attend peer-led programs and events to model effective CYC practice, develop Program Calendars, and assist with budget review and coordination of the Outreach Centre Community Forum.

The student will develop and deliver workshops for peers in the Centre for Community Outreach and Care on topics such as giving and receiving feedback and communication skills and will apply theory to Child and Youth Care practice and other workshop topics as needs emerge. They will also attend peer-led programs and events to model effective CYC practice, provide feedback to peers in the Outreach Centre (OC), offer administrative support, manage equipment, supply bookings, develop OC Program Calendars for each term for all OC programs, assist with the OC budget by collecting and reviewing expense submissions prior to submitting to the Outreach Centre Coordinator, assist in scheduling interviews with the CYC 323 research programs for formal evaluations of OC program outcomes, assist in the creation of Ethics Review Documents for HHS ethics review and SD68 Ethics Review, provide administrative assistance in support of the 6 separate research projects planned for the spring term, and perform other duties as required.
