Eutah Mizushima

Practicum Counsellor

Bio

Hello! My name is Eutah (he/him/his). My approach to counselling is centered around providing a safe and non-judgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self. Whether through open conversations, guided reflections, or skill building activities, my goal is to meet you where you are and learn how I can best support you. By working together, I hope to create the opportunity for you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.

A bit about me: I am a practicum counsellor based out of the VIU Nanaimo Campus, located on the unceded traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. Originally from California, I am of Japanese descent and spent my early adult life studying and working in Tokyo. During my free time I enjoy being creative through music, art, and writing. On most days, you can find me tinkering around in the garden, reading a good book, or spending time with my wife and our three adopted cats.

School can be both an exciting and challenging experience, with each person travelling their own unique path. As you navigate through your academic journey, remember to set aside time to tend to your mental health and well-being. Take care, and I hope that our paths cross along the way!
