Feeling tired? Unmotivated? Sad?
Changeways Group for Depression and Anxiety
The Cowichan Counselling team will offer Changeways for students online in the Spring semester. Time will be during the week depending on what works best for students. The Changeways program was developed by leading clinical research, and is a widely used program in Canada for helping people with anxiety and depression. This is open to any VIU student.
This 8 session, psychoeducational, Cognitive Behavioural group teaches students the tools and insights to help reduce the symptoms of depression and anxiety while combining mindfulness strategies.
- Changeways uses a cognitive behavioural approach for addressing how our feelings, thoughts, and actions are linked. We will talk about the nature of stress lifestyle factors, relationships and getting what you want. The model will help you learn how changes in your thoughts and actions can improve feelings of control and self-worth
