Fitness & Wellness is all about keeping students healthy, inside and out. Through health education, disease prevention, fitness enhancement and wellness programs and initiatives, Fitness & Wellness works to empower and encourage students to take responsibility for their own health. Activities include group fitness, biometric and mental health screenings, smoking cessation, blood donor clinics, health fairs, physical activity and nutrition challenges, and overall management of health and well-being through the delivery of health prevention and promotion wellness programming.

Full Body Blitz

Mondays starting Jan 23: 6:15 - 7:15pm

Wednesdays starting Jan 25: 6:15 - 7:15pm 

This class provides a full body weight training based workout using stability balls, bosus, dumbbells, resistance bands, etc. There will be workout stations set-up which will be timed "circuit style" going from station to station improving muscular strength and endurance as well as building on cardiovascular fitness levels as well. Get ready to increase your fitness level! This class is for all ages and fitness levels.

Perfect for those looking to effectively train every part of their bodies. In this class, you will challenge yourself using intervals of cycling and off-the-bike exercises. This class is for you if you want to increase your cardio endurance, build muscular strength and burn fat.

Tabata

Tuesdays starting Jan 24: 5:45 - 6:45pm

Tabata is a high-intensity interval training that consists of eight sets of fast-paced exercises each performed for 20 seconds interspersed with a brief rest of 10 seconds. Deborah will push you to the limit in this high paced training session.

HIIT

Thursdays starting Jan 26: 5:45 - 6:45pm

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a training protocol alternating short periods of intense or explosive anaerobic exercise with brief recovery periods until the point of exhaustion. The method involves exercise performed in repeated quick bursts at maximum or near maximal effort with periods of rest or low activity between bouts.
