AEDs
An AED is an automated external defibrillator. AEDs are medical devices used to help someone experiencing cardiac arrest. It can analyze a person's and, if needed, deliver an electric shock to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.
AEDs are designed to be easy to use and the AEDs on campus include instructions for use.
Nasal naloxone kits
Nasal naloxone can temporarily revers the effects of an opioid overdose. The naloxone wall cabinets contain nasal spray naloxone, designed for easy use by untrained individuals. This user-friendly spray allows anyone to administer naloxone under the guidance of a 911 operator while you wait for emergency responders to arrive.
You can call for assistance without fear of penalty
Student health and safety is our top priority. If you or someone else is experiencing a possible overdose, please call 911 immediately and use a naloxone kit if needed. You will not face disciplinary action for drug or alcohol use.

The nasal naloxone kits are stored in wall cabinets equipped with an alarm system that activates when the door is opened. In the event of an overdose, the alarm alerts individuals nearby, signaling an emergency situation.
