Description
As part of Athletics and Recreation, this student assists in the development and delivery of health and wellness related initiatives with a goal of promoting healthy living.
Position Requirements
The student is responsible for assisting with the promotion and delivery of a variety of Health and Wellness related events and activities. A significant part of the role is assisting with the creation of news items, promotions and communications to the VIU community re: health-related activities. This position also communicates and networks with VIU and external community partners regarding health-related events and activities.
The student should have an understanding of health and wellness related issues and health promotion practices. Excellent written and communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Strong computer skills, including graphic programs, are an asset. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
