Description
The BCCNP Student Chair is a leadership position for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing student. The primary purpose of the Student Chair is to facilitate meetings involving the BCCNP student group within VIU and the BCCNP Regulator Learning Advisor.
Position Requirements
The Student Chair of the BCCNP student group will be involved in the following duties and activities:
- Creating a work plan and timeline for speaking with Year One to Year Four Nursing students about the BCCNP student group program
- Creating a recruitment plan for BSN and LPN students to join as student representatives for the BCCNP student group
- Creating a meeting schedule for the academic year for BCCNP student group meetings
- Setting up and arrange for distribution of BCCNP student group meeting schedules to student representative
- Creation of BCCNP student group poster, sending emails and reminders out to student representatives, and the Facebook group
- Conducting student group orientation for student reps, as directed and assisted by the BCCNP Regulation Learning Advisor
- Liaising with Student Chairs of BCCNP student groups from institutions across British Columbia
