Position Overview

The Vice Chairperson for the Vancouver Island Leadership Conference (VILC) plays a crucial role in the successful planning and execution of the conference. This individual works closely with the Chairperson to guide and lead the conference team, ensuring that all members are aligned with the conference's objectives and working efficiently towards them. The Vice Chairperson is responsible for overseeing the planning process, which includes coordinating logistics such as venue selection, scheduling, and resource allocation. They also assist in problem-solving and decision-making, providing support to the Chair and stepping in when necessary. The position requires someone with strong leadership skills, as the Vice Chairperson is expected to motivate the team and help maintain a collaborative and productive environment. Additionally, the Vice Chairperson is tasked with achieving the conference goals, which involves monitoring progress, adjusting strategies as needed, and ensuring that the event meets the expectations of all stakeholders. This role is pivotal in creating a successful leadership conference that provides value to its attendees and sponsors.

Position Requirements
