Position Overview
The Mariners Club Sports program at Vancouver Island University is directed towards providing students with a relevant personal educational experience via athletic participation and achievement. It is the view of the department that the athletic experience is an integral part of the educational process. The Mariners Club program has a strong focus on academic achievement alongside athletic success while fostering a commitment to community engagement.

Usually, club team members are recruited by the Mariners club coaches or have successfully attended “try-outs” to become a part of a club sports team.
