Collaborative learning combined two key goals: learning to work and solve problems in the company of others, and sharpening one’s own understanding by listening seriously to the insights of others, especially those with different backgrounds and life experiences. Approaches range from study groups within a course, to team-based assignments and writing, to cooperative projects and research.
Position Overview
Collaborative learning combines two key goals: learning to work and solve problems in the company of others, and sharpening one’s own understanding by listening seriously to the insights of others, especially those with different backgrounds and life experiences. Approaches range from study groups within a course, to team-based assignments and writing, to cooperative projects and research.
There is a Collaborative Assignments and Projects Award. The recipient of this award will be taken from the pool of entrants that indicate they are a part of a collaborative project at registration.
Position Requirements
- At registration, registrant indicates if the project is collaborative/team based.
- Before the conference the group must submit a 300-word personal reflection essay about the new insights they gained from participating in their project. They need to include the three Graduate Attributes associated with this position
