What is a Pathway?
A Pathways is a group of requirements (objectives) determined by your needs, intended to keep students on a specific "path" to success or to a particular goal. Completion of a pathway will happen once all objectives within the pathway have been completed.
Students can see % to pathway completion by the number of objectives that have been completed.
Why do I want to use Pathways?
Utilizing pathways will allow you to:
Showcase media content such as video & images.
Track student progress.
Personalize requirements and guide students towards a desired goal.
Track event engagement and participation
Target a specific group of students.

Anatomy of a Pathway
When setting up a pathway you will be prompted to set the following information within multiple areas of Admin Tools:
Pathway Name: in this field, you’ll input the name of your pathway.
Description: The description will communicate to students what your pathway will allow them to achieve. Descriptions are to be written in a format that you feel best describes your Pathway.
Show To: define the visibility settings for the Guide.
Photo: Set an image for your pathway that best represents your overarching event or program, the required dimensions for the image are:
Photo dimensions - 1125 x 480.
Feel free to reach out at appteam.ccr@viu.ca and we will help you revise your image to fit the dimensions.
Objectives: Objectives are clickable pages in a pathway that represent in one or two words the step that students will complete in your pathway. Objectives allow you to organize and track students' progress by different sections (requirements).
Based on your needs you will utilize two main objective types to track engagement:
Forms: A customizable page with questions, videos, images, and other media that you will link to your pathway objective pages.
Events: An event or set of events that you will require students to attend for your pathway completion that will automatically track students' event engagement.
