As a current student of Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, I am honored to be welcomed by VIU as a practicum counsellor. I look forward to working and collaborating with the students at VIU by providing a safe and confidential environment that is relaxed and nonjudgmental. Together we will explore the various factors which may be influencing how you currently feel, and implement tools to work towards how you want to feel while exploring your existing strengths and resources.
I’ve spent the majority of my life living in southwestern BC between Vancouver and Vancouver Island. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria and a Masters Degree in Environmental Practice from Royal Roads University. When I am not at VIU I work as a professional biologist and arborist for an environmental consultancy. Prior to this I volunteered at a crisis line and held professional roles in emergency services. I am particularly interested in how resilience is engaged by people managing difficult school and career circumstances. My interests focus around anxiety, life transitions, and grief and loss. I look forward to meeting you.
