The Director coordinated digital media activity (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat) that increased brand awareness for the BSA and helped to maintain an updated website for the organization.

Position Overview

The Business Students’ Association at Vancouver Island University is dedicated to providing business students with opportunities and experiences outside of the classroom in order to develop a network of professional, passionate, and community-focused leaders who are not afraid to continually incorporate the art of fun.

The Digital Media Director is the coordinator of digital media (Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat) that increases brand awareness for the BSA while helping maintain an updated website. Responsibilities include content development for the overall maintenance and content evaluation of social media platforms, developing proposals for insights using Facebook Analytics, ensuring the website is updated with accurate and relevant event content, and developing registration for BSA hosted events including payment options. In addition, They are responsible for distributing appealing advertising content to the target market via specified social media platforms and creating promotion strategies for events. Also included in this role is working alongside the VP of Marketing to ensure digital media is handled properly.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum time commitment for this position is three hours a week.
