The President oversaw all aspects of the society, promoted the societal strategy, and maintained relationships with community partners, faculty, and alumni.

Position Overview

The Business Students’ Association at Vancouver Island University is dedicated to providing business students with opportunities and experiences outside of the classroom in order to develop a network of professional, passionate, and community-focused leaders who are not afraid to continually incorporate the art of fun.

As the sole controller of the BSA, the President is responsible for ensuring profitability and sustainability of the association. In addition, the President is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the society, including each portfolio, promoting the societal strategy, and maintaining relationships with community partners, faculty, and alumni. Lastly, developing internal processes, developing agendas, and chairing meetings were included in the responsibilities of the President.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum time commitment for this position is five hours a week.
