The coordinator of all the community related events presented by the BSA including leading charity programs. 

Position Requirements

The Business Students’ Association at Vancouver Island University is dedicated to providing business students with opportunities and experiences outside of the classroom, in order to develop a network of professional, passionate, and community-focused leaders who are not afraid to continually incorporate the art of fun.

As the coordinator of all the community related events presented by the BSA, responsibilities included leading charity programs that provided impact both locally and globally. This role developed more opportunities for students including volunteering in the community and implemented new ideas to further expand the student experience. Responsibilities regarding event coordination included, managing overall charity event process and was responsible for professionally representing the BSA to students, faculty, and the local community. In addition, was responsible for coordinating with local companies and charities for volunteer opportunities, providing students with an opportunity to become more involved in the community, and develop new event concepts to help with charity programs. Lastly, worked alongside as well as reported event progress to the Vice President of Events. Estimated time commitment is 3 hours/week.
