The Finance Coordinator facilitates all areas of registration including the launching site, tracking registration numbers, and providing registration and financial reports.  The Finance Coordinator assists the Chair with budget and tracking of revenues and expenditures.

Position Requirements

The Vancouver Island Leadership Conference (VILC) is sponsored through the Office of Co-Curricular Engagement and Learning.  VILC hosts over 10 annual student-led, non-profit conferences.  These conferences connect students with a passion for leadership and engage local community business networks.

It is the mission of the conference to provide students with the best tools to not only build a better community through leadership, but also empower diverse thinking in the ever-changing world.

Responsibilities of the Finance & Registration Coordinator are to:

  • Facilitate all areas of registration including launching site, tracking registration numbers and providing registration and financial reports
  • Assists Chair with budget and tracking of revenues and expenditures

Specific duties include:

  • Prepare registration materials and ongoing tracking registration numbers leading up to the event
  • During the event, provide assistance throughout the registration process and record all financial transactions prior to, during and post event
  • Prepare and maintain all budget tasks
  • Identify any issues and provide recommendations for any discrepancies that occur in a timely manner
  • Prepare the final financial report for the different stakeholders
