This opportunity provides interactive online lessons on intercultural communication, a skill crucial to Canadian employers today.
The aim is to teach students:
- How to increase their awareness of how their cultural influences can affect intercultural interactions
- How to think differently about their own as well as others experiences
- Help students understand the impacts of colonialism on Indigenous cultures in Canada
Position Requirements
Students are required to complete the Effective Intercultural Communication Course. This is an online, facilitated course run through the Centre for Intercultural Studies.
The course runs over an 8 week period and is self-paced, but has weekly deadlines for small assignments and discussion posts. The course will take students a minimum of 24 hours to complete.
