The role of Chair, Mark it Up, oversaw the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the event.

Position Overview

The role of Chair, Mark It Up, is a key role that oversees the planning, implementation and evaluation of the event.

Some key tasks with this role may include input into hiring Work Op students to assist in the planning of Mark It Up, connecting with the VIU Marketing Faculty as needed, briefing the department at departmental meetings. The student is also respnisible for organizing, communicating, and meeting with the Mark It Up Student team, working with the Mark It Up Student team to identify needs and roles related to communications, event programming, scheduling, volunteer management, budgeting, fundraising, and other key components to the Mark It Up Event, communicating internally with VIU FOM Faculty, VIU departments, and VIU Students, communicating with the broader community to develop partnerships related with workshops, speakers, and cases for the case competition, working with faculty supervisors to develop a program schedule, developing an online survey and other evaluation tools to evaluate the overall event and reporting out results, and maintaining minutes of meetings
