Marketing Coordinator - Vancouver Island Leadership Conference

Description

The Marketing Coordinator plans, develops and implements Vancouver Island Leadership Conference (VIRL) marketing campaigns and events.  They collaborate with the Social Media coordinator in order to achieve a high level of professionalism, consistency in branding throughout any promotional or marketing materials pertaining to the conference.

Position Requirements

The Vancouver Island Leadership Conference (VILC) is sponsored through the Office of Co-Curricular Engagement and Learning.  VILC hosts over 10 annual student-led, non-profit conferences.  These conferences connect students with a passion for leadership and engage local community business networks.

It is the mission of the conference to provide students with the best tools to not only build a better community through leadership, but also empower diverse thinking in the ever-changing world.

Responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator are to plan, develop and implement the VILC marketing campaigns and events in order to give the VILC a positive image, recruit registrations and provide awareness.

They will also collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator in order to achieve a high level of professionalism, consistency in branding throughout any promotional or marketing materials pertaining to the marketing of the VILC.

These collaborative duties include:

  • Market research of the appropriate demographics
  • Environmental scans
  • Provide information preparation to the faculties, deans and instructors in order to facilitate student engagement and participation
