Description
This student position develops and delivers workshops for peers. The student will attend peer-led programs and events to model effective CYC practice. They will develop Program calendars, assist with budget review and coordination of the Outreach Centre Community Forum.
Peer Support
- Develop and deliver workshops for peers in the Centre for Community Outreach and Care on topics such as Giving and Receiving Feedback, Communication Skills
- Apply theory to Child and Youth Care practice and other workshop topics as needs emerge
- Attend peer-led programs and events to model effective CYC practice
- Provide support and feedback to peers in the Outreach Centre (OC)
- Administrative Support
- Manage equipment and supply bookings
- Develop OC Program Calendars for each term for all Outreach Centre Programs
- Assist with OC budget by collecting and reviewing expense submissions prior to submitting to Outreach Centre Coordinator
- Assisting with coordination of the annual Outreach Centre Community Forum
- Research Support
- Assist in scheduling interviews for the CYC 323 research project (formal evaluations of OC program outcomes)
- Assist in the creation of Ethics Review Documents for HHS ethics review and SD 68 Ethics Review
- Provide administrative assistance in support of the 6 separate research projects planned for the Spring term
- Other duties as required
