Position Overview

The position of Silver Level Earner on the Co-Curricular Involvement App is a recognition of a student's dedication to enhancing their personal and professional development outside of the classroom. To achieve this level, a student must have actively participated in co-curricular activities for at least 35 hours and accumulated over 350 points on the CCI App, which tracks and rewards student engagement. The duties of a Silver Level Earner include participating in various activities that contribute to their growth, such as workshops, seminars, volunteer work, or club involvement. The expectation is that through these activities, students will develop VIU Graduate Attributes, which are key skills and qualities that the university aims to instill in its graduates, such as critical thinking, effective communication, and ethical reasoning. This position is not a job but rather a milestone in a student's co-curricular journey, reflecting a significant level of involvement and achievement in activities that complement their academic experience.

Position Requirements

  • Completion of 35+ hours of co-curricular programming,
  • Accumulation of 350+ rewards points on CCI App,
  • Proficiency in using the CCI App, including tracking activities and points,
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth,
  • Understanding of VIU Graduate Attributes and how to develop them,
  • Experience in participating in a variety of co-curricular activities,
  • Ability to reflect on experiences and articulate learning outcomes,
  • Familiarity with goal-setting and self-assessment techniques,
  • Knowledge of campus resources and how to access them for personal development,
  • Skills in time management to balance co-curricular engagement with other responsibilities.
