Position Overview

As a Sponsorship Coordinator for the Vancouver Island Leadership Conference (VILC), the individual is responsible for managing and growing the conference's sponsorship portfolio. This involves identifying potential sponsors, reaching out to businesses and organizations, and securing financial support as well as in-kind contributions for the event. The role requires strong negotiation skills to ensure that both the needs of the conference and the interests of the sponsors are met. Additionally, the coordinator must effectively manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that sponsors are satisfied with their investment and that their contributions are acknowledged appropriately. The coordinator is expected to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as they will be the primary liaison between the conference and its sponsors. They must also be adept at creating sponsorship packages and presenting them to potential sponsors, as well as following up to secure commitments. The success of the VILC in part depends on the Sponsorship Coordinator's ability to secure the necessary funding and support, making this role crucial for the event's overall success.

Position Requirements
