Learn Mindfulness on Campus
Join VIU Counsellors for Mindfulness practice and learning, with two options available, a one-day workshop, and an 8-wk workshop. These will provide you with foundational training in the practice of mindfulness and its application in reducing stress and improving functioning.
One Day Workshop
Friday, Feb 3rd, 9am – 3pm
Eight-Week Workshop
Feb 9- April 6, Thursdays 12pm-2pm
These group workshops are for students enrolled in classes at VIU.
You will learn how to:
- Practice Mindfulness
- Increase calm and clarity
- Increase resilience and enthusiasm for life
- Manage stress and emotions
- Slow down to nourish and care for yourself
Workshops are free! A 30-minute pre-group interview is mandatory to join.
