I would like to extend my gratitude to the Vancouver Island University (VIU) Faculty of Management committee members and Nanaimo local community for giving me the opportunity to pursue a fast paced MBA program with Applied Business Project.

The course structure was designed in a well planned manner which provided a platform to establish and relate practical business concepts. A diverse project team and a beautiful learning environment blended the art of learning with previously gained work experience.

I feel that the Internship/Co-Op Program is one of the crucial parts of the entire program. I am grateful to the VIU FAB 40 selections committee to give me an opportunity to be a part of the program which helped me to build my network connections and in turn secured a spot for my internship with Global Payments.

The 16 weeks internship program led me to test and implement the concepts relating to strategy planning, marketing and sales to the real business world further helping to achieve the objective of business development for the organization. Working as an intern in a professional workspace gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my skill sets and team spirit which was nurtured during my MBA program in VIU.

I can definitely say that having done MBA along with an internship at VIU paced a smooth transition from academic career to business industry helping me to achieve both personal and professional objectives.
