What was the biggest takeaway for you?
Using a greater sense of professionalism and confidence in gaining experience and ending up working for one of the most famous attractions in Vancouver, BC on my second work experience.
Did it give you any clarity in what you wanted to do after graduation?
I have had a few ideas after working in diverse environments. As at now, I am dealing with promoting a growing business and viewing my first self-owned business and how I would invest into it.
Do you have any advice for students that will be involved in an internship / co-op?
You should always know that you cannot let your personal feelings influence your professional attitude or behavior.
What would you say to someone who asks you about an internship/co-op?
Do not worry too much about not having much work experience when diving into a new work environment or finding your career path. Always be prepared and let your confidence rise as you progress.
What work are you doing now?
I am currently improving my work skills through my co-op by working as a Guest Service Agent at the well-known Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
How did your internship/co-op jobs prepare you for the work that you’re doing now?
The preparation for this job was thanks to the awareness provided to us through basic information on what most employees face when working in any industry. In addition, one new thing I got to realize was the art of empathy and how it links with our tolerance level.
Looking forward, where would you like your career to go?
I would like to use all my work experiences to gain an opportunity in being a successful entrepreneur, that is, knowing the significant ways of developing myself and the career I would want to build someday.

It is well said that the best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.
