Description
This student assists in the development of a sustainable promotional plan for Mariner Athletics with a focus on social media.
Position Requirements
The student is responsible for assisting the Athletics and Recreation division in the development and maintenance of digital, print and social media. This includes the development of a promotional plan, attendance at various Athletics and Recreation events to take video and photos, and social media maintenance (Facebook, Twitter). The Media Assistant will liaise with various other departments on campus to develop strategies to increase participation in our programs and to coordinate social media efforts.
The student should have an understanding of photo editing software, video editing software and be comfortable using a camera. Excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Strong computer skills, including graphic programs and good understanding of social media applications, are essential. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
