The Sustainability Assistants lend expertise and enthusiasm to sustainability events, help develop a community of active sustainable practitioners, and assist in shifting cultural norms on the VIU campuses.
Position Requirements
Assistants will assist with a variety of sustainability initiatives that may include but are not limited to:
- Communication
- Social media
- Initiative development
- Set-up/take-down of events venue
- Poster distribution
- Networking with colleagues
- Mentoring positive sustainability action
- Constructive reflection on completed initiatives
