Position Overview
Are you interested in working in a chemistry lab? This work-op is a great opportunity to have your first experience working in a chemistry lab. You will learn new skills as well as practice the foundational skills you have already acquired in your VIU chemistry courses. The Chemistry Student Lab Assistant will work under the supervision of Sarah Jackson, Department of Chemistry Technician. You will assist in all aspects of routine lab operation. Activities may include bulk solution preparation, teaching lab set-up and take-down, glassware cleaning, equipment and laboratory maintenance.
Position Requirements
- Minimum requirement: Second-year science student
- Preference may be given to chemistry majors and/or those who have completed any two of Chem 231, Chem 222, Chem 241.
