Position Overview

As a Special Events Coordinator for the Vancouver Island Leadership Conference (VILC), the individual is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of special events associated with the conference. This role involves leading fundraising initiatives to support the event, which includes identifying potential sponsors, securing partnerships, and managing donor relations. The Special Events Coordinator is expected to have strong project management skills to ensure that all aspects of the events are delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, the role requires excellent communication skills, as the coordinator will be the point of contact for vendors, sponsors, and attendees. The coordinator must be adept at multitasking and have the ability to work well under pressure, as event planning can involve managing multiple tasks and solving problems as they arise. The role is pivotal in enhancing the visibility and success of the VILC, and it offers a great opportunity to develop leadership and organizational skills.

Position Requirements
