Student Print Requisition

Our print and bindery service operates on a first-come, first-served basis and is open five days a week right here on campus. For time-sensitive requests, please email us in advance at printing@viu.ca to get an estimated completion time before placing your order.

Find us at Building 305, Room 220, within the Campus Store. Our doors are open from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, except on holidays.

Job Information

The process of printing the job on both sides of the media (also called double-sided or duplex) versus on one side (also called single-sided or simplex).
The way an image is positioned on the media: with the short side of the media up (portrait) or with the long side of the media up (landscape).
Due at pick-up. We do not accept Payprint cards at this time.

**Students who will have posters paid for by their department require pre-approval before we can charge the department. A department representative (faculty or staff) must complete and submit the Student Poster Pre-Approval Form before order is submitted. Changes to billing cannot be made by campus store or print shop staff after pickup.

Guidelines

  • Please proof read all text before sending artwork.
  • Artwork must be submitted as a high quality print PDF.
  • PDF must be saved without a digital signature or password protection.
  • PDF must be the correct size or a new file will be requested.
    • How can I check the PDF size?
      • Open the PDF file in Acrobat Reader – click File (top left) – scroll down and click Properties. In the Advanced section – Page Size will be the PDF size.
Files must be less than 6 MB.
Allowed file types: pdf.
