Overview

As the Co-Chair for Fun@VIU, the individual is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of events aimed at enriching the student experience. This role requires strong leadership abilities as the Co-Chair works closely with a team to develop strategic plans for events that cater to a diverse student body. The position demands excellent organizational skills to ensure that each event is executed smoothly and successfully. The Co-Chair is expected to collaborate with other student leaders, faculty, and possibly external vendors, demonstrating effective communication and negotiation skills. Additionally, the role involves budget management, marketing of events, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. The Co-Chair is also responsible for fostering an inclusive and fun environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Overall, the position is a blend of creativity, management, and interpersonal skills, with the goal of making student life at VIU vibrant and enjoyable.
